About the Exhibition

Eyes-Path is a participatory program organized around the collection to mark the 20th anniversary of the Gyeonggido Museum of Art's opening. The exhibition quietly begins before visitors even enter the museum, and is structured so that visitors' gaze naturally flows from outside to inside. Works by Kang Ik-joong, Kwon Ki-soo, Kim Seung-young, Park Kyoung-ryul, Yoo Hyun-mi, Lee Won-suk, and Ju Se-gyun greet visitors in the Project Gallery. The exhibition's key concept is that a work of art is both an object of appreciation and, at the same time, a path. As visitors walk along the works, they experience an expansion of their own gaze and senses. It jointly proposes perception through movement through space, awareness of one's own visual standpoint, and the feeling that space holds as an experienced place.
