About the Exhibition

This exhibition is a large-scale solo show by Marina Abramović at the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice in 2026, and with it she sets the record of becoming the first living female artist in the world to hold a large-scale exhibition there. The exhibition's title, 'Transforming Energy,' reflects Abramović's process of exploring energy, human identity, emotion, and physical limits through art. It includes her signature performance works, photography, and installation pieces, with particular attention on photographs taken by her longtime collaborator Marco Anelli.
