About the Exhibition

This exhibition is held at 'Maison Pompidou,' newly opened in the Beaubourg district of Paris during the renovation of the Centre Georges Pompidou. Titled 'La Bataille des couleurs' (The Battle of Colors), it explores the history of the Centre Pompidou building's color scheme and the contentious process that shaped it. Featuring color-related archives, drawings, and models, the exhibition traces the historical background behind the building's visual identity, showing how its architectural color choices influenced modern art and architectural theory. It presents around 50 works, organized around the theme of 'the battle of colors.' Visitors can explore how the building's colors came to be and gain an understanding of the Centre Pompidou's distinctive visual identity.
