About the Exhibition

This exhibition explores the visual innovations of Cubism, addressing the revolutionary changes that took place in the European art world in the early 1900s. It was conceived to show how the leading artists of Cubism reconstructed visual language, exploring the creativity of those who formed the foundation of modern art. The main artists are Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, with signature works including Piano and Violin and Deconstructed Body. The exhibition includes works from 1907 to 1914, presenting some 40 works in total. It is organized into three sections — 'The Beginnings of Cubism,' 'The Deconstruction of Form,' and 'Visual Experimentation' — allowing visitors to systematically understand the development of Cubism. Picasso's Piano and Violin and Braque's Deconstructed Body in particular stand as the exhibition's key highlights, showing the essence of visual innovation.
