About the Exhibition

This exhibition explores the artistic world of Hilma af Klint from multiple angles. Redefining the timeline of modern art well ahead of the major 20th-century art movements, her work combines geometric forms, bright tones, and organic motifs to reveal a singular sensibility. It centers on the critical, spiritual work she created well before Kandinsky and Malevich, the leading figures of abstract art. The exhibition includes a total of 144 works, focusing mainly on her creative output from 1906 to 1944. Her famous 'The Ten Largest' (Group IV, No. 4 - Youth), from her 'Paintings for the Temple' series in particular, stands as a key work sure to draw visitors' attention.
