About the Exhibition

This exhibition explores how 'masculinity' is defined and reconstructed in contemporary society. Titled Beyond the Manosphere: Masculinities Today, it critiques the intensely sexually repressive masculinity spreading in online spaces, embodying an intent to explore various forms of masculinity. Several artists participate, their work challenging traditional notions of masculinity and offering new perspectives. The exhibition comprises 40 works in total, centered on work from the 1990s onward, reflecting changes in contemporary art. Notably, the exhibition goes beyond a simple exploration of masculinity, addressing the complexity of gender and identity and fostering social dialogue.
