About the Exhibition

This is a solo exhibition of artist Alexandre Lenoir, born in 1992, centered on his landscape paintings. He uses photography as a prop, translating nature into painting while rejecting realistic depiction in favor of an original reinterpretation of nature. His work combines faint figures with powerful nature to create a distinctive mood, conveying both hope and sorrow through oil paint and light. Presented as part of the 16th edition of Contemporaines at the Musée de l'Orangerie, the exhibition includes four newly unveiled paintings. Running from March 25 to August 24, 2026, it offers deep reflection on landscape, nature, and human existence. The emotion flowing through bright light and nature's overwhelming presence in particular stand out.
