The USS Alabama is one of the submarines symbolizing the age of nuclear weapons, and the coldness of metal along with the weight of history fill this space. Beneath dimly glimmering lighting, the shape of a warhead, drifting like a slogan, is visualized as the reverse side of figures symbolizing weight, distance, and accuracy. The traces of weapons lined along the walls reveal, just as they are, how thin a membrane protects today's peace. The moment you walk along the corridor, a space-time opens where past and present intersect. This space, born as an instrument of war, now carries within it a time serving as a symbol for peace and equality.
