Built in 1906, this building first served as a bacteriological laboratory and is now a still space linking Hong Kong medicine's past and present. Walking the corridors that lead down to the basement and up to the second floor, old medical equipment and documents lie hidden from view, as quiet as sleeping life. Once home to the Pathological Institute, the building now serves as a place to tell the story of health and disease, letting visitors sense how the scientific effort and human striving of the past shaped today's medical system. The brick-lined space makes you forget time, reminding you that medical progress was never merely technical advancement but an effort made for the sake of human life.
