Where boats once traveled along the old river now stands still. This building, once the heart of a river port, has become a space where the history and culture of the Three Gorges now flow. In the tall, well-lit hall, sunlight falls softly over the layered exhibits. In the exhibition space shaped by Wu Hung's scholarly perspective, ancient relics and contemporary art meet, metaphorically dividing the flow of time. Where a single beam of light has passed, visitors encounter the landscape of the Three Gorges and the lives of the people woven into it.
