The Mémorial de la Shoah is a space recording the history of the Jewish people and the wounds of the Holocaust; its walls, engraved with countless names, preserve the voices of strangers even within silence. What meets the eye while walking through the exhibition halls is not merely photographs or documents, but a sense of truth as though the reality of the past still remains in this space. A frail light flows along the walls, and each name feels like a whisper heard from within time. The photographs bearing the victims' faces appear faded like old photographs, yet within them the gaze of the survivors still lives on.
