About
A cold wind seeps between the rocky hills, and a stone gate set atop the hill quietly welcomes the footsteps of residents. The moment light dangles down and settles upon the stone carvings of the ancient temple, the traces of Selinunte seep into a dual time moving between past and present. The unfamiliar form of Temple E reveals lines that seem to guide the way, and the boundary of Selinunte still seems frozen upon the stone. Tablets and carvings remaining in the open ground, as if holding voices of the past, draw visitors one step deeper. Those who walk these ancient traces come, at last, within the virtual reconstruction of Temple C, to feel how the former civic buildings and temples once took root in this land.
