A museum located in Rome, Italy.

About

The Scuderie del Quirinale occupies the stables of the Quirinal Palace, built between 1722 and 1732 on commission of Pope Innocent XIII. Design began under architect Alessandro Specchi and was completed by Ferdinando Fuga, appointed in 1730 by Pope Clement XII. The building later served as a garage for automobiles from 1938 and as a carriage museum in the 1980s. Architect Gae Aulenti redesigned it as an exhibition space between 1997 and 1999, and it opened in its current form in 2000 when President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi transferred it to the city of Rome. Today it functions as an international exhibition venue of roughly 1,500 square meters, operated since 2016 by ALES, a public company under Italy's Ministry of Culture.
