Originally built as a residence for family life, this building was designed to embody a hope free of walls. Its exterior is composed of simple straight lines and right angles, yet its interior is filled with a range of movement and possibility. With the staircase at its center, rooms and spaces connect to one another, and those who walk along that path experience a freedom released from fixed structure. This building was born not as a simple house, but as an attempt to change a way of life. Within a space filled with Mrs. Schröder's convictions, time flows, and a framework capable of embracing change takes shape. Now transformed into a museum, this place is where the boundary between art and life was broken down, an attempt at a new form of coexistence.
