Walking along the arcade, where an Egyptian stone temple unfolds intact, time seems to collapse, and Babylonian tiles, having lost their language, answer each footstep. The moment ancient Roman sculpture quietly holds its breath in the dry air, the voices of ancient humanity, asleep within the shadows, carry on. The light brushing across the terracotta carvings, the instant it touches your fingertips, feels as if an artist from long ago has stepped once more onto his own stage.
