About

As the door opens, a space unfolds where faint light seems to flow along the ceiling. On the walls, phrases from Chairman Mao's quotations are dimly inscribed, and the voice of the past still seems to govern this space. Among photographs bearing images of Red Guards, the passion and chaos of an era bent on destroying the ‘Four Olds’ still flow through the air like breath. Here, visitors come to feel, beyond a simple exhibition, how the spirit of a generation was formed and then destroyed. This space, as though time has stopped within it, holds fast to the wounds and memories of the past, awaiting the gaze of today.
