Walking along the long floor of St Mary-le-Ys Street, a stone-built front gate comes into view. The granite facade, reminiscent of a medieval cathedral, holds a stillness as though a scientist studying nature had finally found a place to settle. Beneath the high ceiling, light flows softly, following each visitor's footsteps. Amid meticulously prepared specimens and ancient relics, people feel as though the history of the earth and the flow of life were being swallowed whole. In the projecting exhibition space, the moment the bones of a Stegosaurus quietly cast their shadow, time at last comes to a stop.
