About

The moment you step through the door, what catches the eye is a scene in the darkness where the massive bones of the Tyrannosaurus SUE, one of the ancient forms of life, stretch out. Those bones look like the skeleton of some giant creature wandering, lost in time, within the darkness of the earth. The architecture, built of concrete and steel, carries a solemn atmosphere as if recreating nature itself, and walking along the long corridors of the galleries gives the feeling of walking through the earth's many ecosystems. On one side, a lion and an elephant rest in the stillness of death, while on another floor, the stems and leaves of plants covering the trees feel like walking through a forest. The scent and stillness, as if the very molecules of nature remained in this space, make one feel as though experiencing together the breath of nature that has flowed on across a long span of time.
