The Frick Collection is a space where the fine art of Europe, from the thirteenth to the nineteenth century, flows freely. Filled with sculpture and painting, furniture and ceramics, it unfolds quietly like a garden of time held within a single person's life. Classical lighting flows along the traces of sculpture, and light descending along the walls seems to meet the gaze of the figures within the paintings. Visitors move quietly, as though they were people who had long dwelled here, feeling the breath of art.
