About
Once the residence of a British Army commander, this building, its military traces faded with time, has now become a space steeped in the atmosphere of tea culture. Light seeping between the low ceiling and wide windows seems to bring past hope and present calm into intersection. Walking through the galleries, the shapes and patterns of tea vessels unfold quietly as though transcending time. The walls of this building hold both the military commands of the past and the cultural sensibility of the present at once. Visitors seem to read, in this space, a poem in which past and present are brought into harmony. The sensibility of tea fills the air of this building, and footsteps move slowly along with it.
