Palatine Hill is a place where the spirit of Rome is engraved, offering a passage of time as if walking upon stones through which myth and history flow. Within the shadow of the imperial palace built atop it, the breath of Romans who once recorded their lives and honored their gods still lives on. The myth of the she-wolf Lupa, who sheltered life within a cave, and steps commemorating the battle between Hercules and a monster, still lie hidden in the back alleys of this hill.
