Footsteps drifting through Rome's old streets find themselves climbing stone stairs along the traces of antiquity. The dark shadow cast by a building of concrete mixed with stone creates an atmosphere as if wrapped around ancient ruins. Stepping inside, dim light flows across the surfaces of the stone sculptures, and a stillness that feels as though time has stopped seems to envelop visitors. The sculptures gathered here hold traces of the life, faith, and power of ancient Rome, and among them, the striking figures made of red terracotta stand out in particular.
