At the far end of an old Vienna street stretching gradually onward, the outline of Belvedere Palace comes faintly into view behind a soft stone wall. Light flows gently along the edge of its copper roof, as if that light has enveloped Klimt's 'The Kiss' and 'Judith I' across the past century. Gustav Klimt's shimmering silver strands and Egon Schiele's muted tones create an atmosphere that bridges the medieval past and the present. The sound of the wind heard at the center of the garden seeps in quietly, like the breath of the Impressionist painters.
