The moment you open the door, the sunlight of Colorado Boulevard brushes across the brown tiles of the building's exterior and flows within. Near the entrance, Rodin's sculptures draw the eye almost unconsciously, and other sculptures arranged along the outdoor garden create a stillness as if fixed within time. Passing through the garden and stepping into the museum, a space unfolds blending exotic impressions with delicate carvings. Within a flow linking outdoors and indoors, ancient East Asian sculpture and European painting stop the visitor's breath. Like a Norman cross or an Indian sculpture, each work silently preserves the atmosphere of the space, leading visitors into that era and culture.
