The dim light flowing over the stone ceiling of the Narva Triumphal Gate carries an old whisper from a place steeped in the traces of history. The statue of Fame, carved by Vasily Demut-Malinovsky, still gazes at the glass and iron held in her hands, and this gate has become not merely a monument to victory but a midpoint linking past and present.
