Upon opening the door and stepping in, the stillness of the mountains slowly seeps into the body. A darkness that seems to flow along the ceiling, like a lone stretch of wooden fencing, brings the light to a halt. Sunlight traces a pattern down the wall, scattering across the floor with a soft sheen like that of an old document. Atop the stone slab at the center, a carving that seems to trace the boundary between farmland and forest rises quietly to the surface. In this space where time seems to have stopped, a stillness like gazing up at the night sky seeps into one's fingertips.
