As if each member had set their own alarm, the iron structures of the former stables hold a quiet voice even in the dark. The wind flowing beneath one's feet seems to slowly open the door of time, as if sweeping away traces of the past. The stillness given off by the paintings of the Leopold Museum and the sound stirred by MUMOK's contemporary works draw each other in within the space, like a low tone echoing within Vienna's old city walls. When Vienna's night lighting leaves no corner of the building concealed, the walls of Kunsthalle Wien make the faces of figures from the past sparkle like diamonds. The MuseumsQuartier is not the legacy of an old factory, but a puzzle unfolded by today's art, centered on the heart of Vienna.
