This land, once a leisurely park by the water, has now become an island of art transformed into reinforced concrete and glass. Windows that scatter sunlight across the ground like tree shade guide visitors' gazes from high up near the ceiling. The mountain-shaped roof glows yellow-green at night, and those who visit feel as though they have climbed to the top of a quiet mountain. Each time the wind of Aoba Ward sweeps through the exhibition hall, the breath of ancient art flows between the concrete walls. On one wall stand sculptures imbued with the light of traditional Japanese art, while on the other, the gaze of contemporary artists unfolds toward the sky.
