An art museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

About

A place where the steel structure of an old train station still faintly remains. The moment light flows along the glass ceiling, you feel as though past and present intersect. Light flowing along the glass walls of the Quadracci Pavilion adds a soft flow to the space created by Calatrava's design. Light flowing over Caillebotte's waterside, Degas's dancing women, and Monet's water lilies fill this space. Sculpture and painting face one another and speak, and visitors naturally sink into that conversation.
