At the heart of the Vasileostrovsky District, past an old stone gate, a two-story corridor opens where a faint breeze flows. This is a place where sculpture and murals seem to flow as if forgetting time, a space where an 18th-century Russian dignitary once concentrated his life. The building's Petrine Baroque style seems to draw one into its depths, following the light cascading down from the lavish illumination of the ceiling. At the end of the corridor unfolds a space filled with intricately patterned ceramics and traditional garments, where a stillness and vitality coexist, as if the classrooms of a former military school still remain. Those who pass through here feel a sensation as if walking through an era where traces of the past remain intact.
