A chilling air still seeps through the walls of this building, and somewhere within it, the footsteps of prisoners seem to linger still. This place was originally a concentration camp, but has now become a space that accepts the wounds of the past and seeks to remember the voice of history. The walls, built of stone quarried from the surrounding quarry, still bear down heavily, and traces of life still press forward from within that darkness. Visitors sometimes feel a resonance brushing through the air as they cross this space, steeped deeply in the solitude and resolve of the people who once lived here. It is now a museum that remembers the past, yet the outline of the building still carries wounds that surface unbidden.
