About

As you open the gate and step in, ramparts built of black stone spread out quietly before you. Sunlight seeping onto the roof tiles of the main keep adds a stillness as if long stretches of time have flowed past. Walking along the path connecting the Inui Kotenshu minor keep and the Watari-yagura turret, a shadow that seems as though the moats of the Edo period still stand today seeps in underfoot. The air within the castle lingers quietly along with the scent of moss brushed by the wind, and a stillness as though time itself had stopped embraces the visitor. Within this quiet grace, a wish naturally arises to feel, if only for a single moment, the light and walls of this castle.
