At the top of a stairway rising along the ridge, a building comes into view bearing a painting called ‘Baekhwadeung,’ painted by a Han dynasty artist. Its traditional Han-style exterior, with red tiles and black pillars in harmony, holds a solemnity as though opening a door back into the past. Stepping inside, low-toned lighting gently wraps around the traces of ancient relics, evoking the flow of time. The height of the ceiling and the neat arrangement of the walls create an atmosphere that seems to draw visitors toward the center of an ancient city. Walking among the relics, one feels the illusion that the landscape of a nation is coming alive within a painting.
