As you first raise your gaze to the museum along its gray stone walls, wind flowing in from the forest brushes lightly against your collar. The glass ceiling overhead casts a soft light into the room, as if watching over the shadows of the sculptures, and the moment you look upon Van Gogh's 'At Eternity's Gate,' its black-and-white shadow seems to transcend time and space. The sculptures within the park seem to move together with the shadows of the trees, and Rodin's iron sculptures ring quietly, struck by the wind. The museum's space lets you feel that it exists solely for a dialogue between art and nature. Visitors walk between each passing work, forgetting the flow of time between the brushstrokes of Impressionism and the silence of sculpture.
