The building's exterior, with its broad windows facing the sea, is designed in curves that echo the flow of the ocean, so that the moment you step inside, the breath of the sea seems to wrap around you. The gallery is filled with maritime history flowing through time, and ancient ceramic ship models create the impression of quietly sailing out to sea. Boat models crafted from Han-dynasty pottery seem to hold the wind of thousands of years past, drawing the visitor's gaze. In the corner where official documents are displayed, stories of past trade and piracy take on a more solemn weight. Throughout the gallery, the human exchange shaped by the sea, ships, and trade unfolds in quiet stillness.
