About

Honda Collection Hall, in its current form, opened in 1998. It began in July 1993 in the basement of a bowling alley at Suzuka Circuit Land in Mie Prefecture, then relocated in August 1997 to its present site in Motegi, Haga District, Tochigi Prefecture, timed to the opening of Twin Ring Motegi, now Mobility Resort Motegi. Most of the vehicles on display are kept in running condition and periodically taken out onto the circuit for maintenance runs. The collection centers on Honda products but also includes some vehicles from other manufacturers. On March 1, 2024, the hall reopened after a major renewal that reorganized the exhibits chronologically, tracing Honda's history from its founding. The south side of the second floor covers the founding years through the early 1970s, the north side the 1970s through the early 1980s, the south side of the third floor the mid-1980s through the early 2000s, and the north side the 2000s onward. The renewal also added a full-scale interior mock-up of the HondaJet Elite II, a hands-on experience with the UNI-ONE personal mobility device, and an audio story guide. There is no separate admission fee — visitors need only pay the entrance and parking fees for Mobility Resort Motegi — and the hall is open 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., though hours can vary by season.
