As you open the door and step in, shadows flowing beneath the high ceiling move slowly, like figures out of an old painting. Along the long gallery, sculpture and painting displaying centuries of refinement unfold, and between them, lighting carrying family memory and history drifts gently. Walking across the old wooden floor, a graciousness and courtesy from an era that has left no visible trace continues on. The figure in a portrait hanging on one wall gazes quietly at the visitor, silently carrying its story onward.
