About
The National Museum of Korea holds within it a history and a legacy of relics built up since the days of the Japanese Government-General of Korea. The spirit of the Imperial Household Museum, which once began at Changgyeonggung Palace, still flows within the current building today. Walking through the exhibition halls, there is a space where the Central Asian relics of the Otani Collection are quietly displayed, and ancient Korean relics sit in stillness as if time had been forgotten. The legacy of the Government-General Museum of Korea remains intact within today's exhibition space, so that past and present meet within a single space. Visitors can slowly sense, within that flow, how Korea's history and culture have accumulated over time.
