Walking through the back alleys of Lanzhou, a faint gleam of stone seeps through gaps in the concrete walls. Where that light leads, fossilized eggs quietly hold within them ages of invisible time. That dinosaur eggs waited for thousands of years beneath the earth can be felt simply from the traces etched into the stone. The forms of embryos sealed within the eggs still seem vivid today, as though reaching to carry ancient life forward.
