Sitting quietly on an old field, this building at first appeared to be nothing more than a simple mass of earth. Yet as you move closer, its form slowly reveals itself, holding a stillness as if it had captured the instant a drop of water falls into the sea. The two openings that look like windows take in the flow of nature just as it is, filling the interior with light and air. Artist Rei Naito's 'Matrix' loses its substance within this harmony of light and space, becoming a flowing presence that seems to have lost all sense of itself.
