About the Exhibition
This exhibition proposes suspending the conventional passive gaze of museum-going called 'viewing' in favor of the epistemological labor of 'reading.' It presents reading not as simple decoding of information but as the work of grasping structure and constructing interpretation amid a collision of meanings. It seeks to shift the center of the art experience from immediate sensory consumption toward the formation of interpretation and the possibility of misreading. A total of 20 artists (teams) from Korea and abroad participate.
