About the Exhibition

The Daejeon Museum of Art Open Storage is a new type of museum built to open the once-restricted storage area to everyone and share with citizens how artworks are stored and preserved. In 2024 it presented highlights of two-dimensional and three-dimensional works by medium, and in 2025, drawings, prints, and photographs. This exhibition spotlights 18 representative works from the installation and new-media collections, which stand at the forefront of contemporary art. It visualizes the preservation and management systems for installation and new-media works, focusing on transport crates and methods for preserving intangible data.
