About the Exhibition

This exhibition explores the process by which Vincent van Gogh grew into a world-renowned artist. It focuses in particular on the important role his family played, and how the family's private collection developed into a collection of international significance. The exhibition helps visitors understand Van Gogh's fame through his artistic journey and the emotional and cultural background his family provided. Running from June 12, 2026, it is held at the Van Gogh Museum. The exhibition comprises more than 30 works in total, spanning from Van Gogh's early work to his famous later pieces. Visitors can understand his fame through rare documents related to Van Gogh's family and works showing his artistic development.
