Seongryul Special Exhibition: We resemble summer

About the Exhibition

In summer 2026, Groundseesaw Hannam presents artist Seongryul's large-scale special exhibition We Who Resemble Summer from April 30 to September 27. Through some 140 works including original paintings, drawings, and video, it depicts the light and shadow of the seasons and the stories of those who grew up together within them. Seongryul is an artist who conveys small but warm stories within landscapes through clear, transparent color and delicate description. He drew attention as the first Korean to win the Grand Prize at the 2022 Japan International MANGA Award for the graphic novel Inside Summer, his graduation project from the Animation Department of the Korea National University of Arts' School of Film, TV & Multimedia, and has since expanded his reach with the public through album artwork for musicians such as Baek Yerin and Lee Hi and collaborations with global brands like Uniqlo and Hermès.
