About the Exhibition
My Art Museum One Grove Branch presents Imagination's Wardrobe, retracing the sources of imagination and inspiration for world-renowned designers, from April 24 to August 23, 2026. From Pierre Balmain's elegant dresses to Martin Margiela's deconstructed bodysuits, it spotlights how the bold imagination of designers across the centuries was reborn as new fashion through experimental attempts that crossed patterns, materials, and structures. This exhibition focuses not on the finished result on the runway, but on the moment just before a garment is born. Drawing on about 80 original garments and archives from the collection of the E-Land Museum, which holds the largest costume collection in Korea, it unfolds the fashion origins left behind by 20 designers, including Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, and Yves Saint Laurent.
