About the Exhibition

The Korea Artist Prize is a support program and award system for contemporary artists, co-organized by the MMCA and the SBS Foundation since 2012. Each year it selects four artists, supporting the production of new work and its exhibition, and has furthered the development of Korean contemporary art by broadly backing each artist's subsequent international activity. Following institutional improvements in 2023, it has strengthened production support for artists and now presents new commissions alongside major earlier works, illuminating each artist's world in multiple dimensions. The Korea Artist Prize 2026 features four artists — Lee Haemin-sun, Hong Jin-hwon, Lee Jung-woo, and Jeon Hyun-sun — deepening the storytelling around their thematic concerns and artistic worlds to create an occasion connecting leading figures in Korean art with international art discourse.
