About the Exhibition

Lee Jung-seob is a leading painter of modern and contemporary Korean art, and this exhibition begins by pausing familiarity to look at his world of work with fresh eyes. It is organized into two parts: Gallery 3 newly arranges works around recurring motifs and various media, while Gallery 4 re-reads the works in the context of the artist's life and the flow of his era, seeking to newly interpret recurring motifs, the variations built upon them, and the formal order that organizes the picture plane.
