About the Exhibition

This exhibition is centered on a large-scale installation work by Mire Lee. The exhibition's title, 'The Heart of My Machine is Golden Lead,' reflects its meaning in English. Lead was once used in construction and water pipes but is now known as a substance harmful to health. The exhibition explores the boundary between machine and human, nature and artifice, softness and hardness, offering a visual experience in which machines feel almost alive. It runs simultaneously at the Secession and the Korean Cultural Center, organized into three sections in total. Visitors can experience the exhibition not only visually but through hearing and touch, with scenes of machines moving and making sound, and installations of repeatedly flowing material, among the standout attractions.
