About the Exhibition

This exhibition explores the artistic identity of 20th-century American artist Mabel Dwight. She took a 'cool head and warm heart' as the core of her artistic practice, depicting New York's urban landscape and people while striving for social impact through her work. The exhibition presents her signature works depicting everyday New York life, figures, and spaces, made primarily using lithography. It includes a total of 40 works, organized into three sections that trace her artistic development and historical context. Some of her lithographs in particular vividly depict the streets and lives of New Yorkers, giving visitors a chance to visually experience the historic New York cityscape.
