Guo Liang Yi — mid-century modernist

About the Exhibition

This is the first major museum retrospective of Kho Liang Ie, who played a pivotal role in Dutch design from the 1950s through the mid-1970s. The exhibition sheds light on his creative influence, centered on his furniture and interior design. Kho Liang Ie was a central figure of modernist design, and this exhibition re-examines the position and influence his work holds in the history of Dutch design. It includes about 40 works in total, organized into sections showing different periods and styles. In particular, his signature works Sofa with Armrests and Dining Table stand as highlights, offering visitors a direct experience of his design philosophy and aesthetics.
